Acne loves to use my face as a breeding ground and as a result my face more than often breaks out, much to my annoyance and chagrin. As if my face was not enough, my back is also prone to acne, Bacne as its called and for some weird reason i seem to worry more about the bacne than the break out on my face. I have met up with numerous dermatologists and each time they prescribe various, creams, gels, face washes, ointments.... but except the initial benefits they always seem to find their way back home (on my face and back that is )!!!

But things changed when i stumbled upon Dermadew Acne Soap. I have been using it for quite some time  now and i take the liberty to label it “best acne soap ever”.

Palm and coconut oil soap noodles, Kokum Butter, Glycerine, Aloe vera extract, Olive extract.
The ingredients look pretty ok to me except Glycerine since its supposed to be comodegenic (im not sure though)

To be painfully honest, this soap has the most unappealing and fugly packaging i have ever seen. I say that because priced at Rs.109/- it isn’t exactly a very cheap soap and i have seen cheaper soaps than this one, presented way better to the customers. Inside the flimsy carton, the soap is packed in a plastic pack.
A giant thumbs down for the packaging.

The soap is white in color and resembles any average white soap with its name inscribed on it. It has a mild fragrance that is not irritating and fades away pretty soon. It is not the most lathering soap but is enough to wash away the impurities.
Warning:  Avoid the soap from entering your eyes else it will sting like a pepper spray.

The absolute best feature of this soap is that its mild and absolutely does not dry the skin out like other acne soaps and treatments. Dermadew does not dry the skin at all and leaves you with soft, moisturised and clean skin.

So does the soap work at all?

Hell yeah!!  But obviously do not expect miracles overnight. This is the second bar that im using and i can now finally see results. The frequency of my breakouts have reduced tremendously. I still do get pimples here and there but nothing that a dash of clindamycin phosphate gel a.k.a Erytop cannot combat.
I have been using Dermadew even for my bacne and have got good results. Im sure that continued use will completely tackle the problem.

Quick Score Card

Packaging- 0.5/10
Product- 9/10
Overall- 9/10 (lets ignore the packaging since the product actually works)

So far im happy with the results. Its not very pretty to look at and you wont be proud to have it sitting there on your bathroom shelf.... but hey, it does its job pretty darn well and kicks acne on its butt and all that without peeling or drying the skin.

Worth a try if you are tired of acne and have tried every other acne fighting cleanser in the world  :)

  5. For me,my Dermatologist told me to use this.and I've been using this for 4 yrs!!.I even visited that dermatologist again and said I recommended this soap for at least 5 ppl,but not all of them this soap will work ,bcz the main reason is it has palm ,coconut and tea tree oil etc..Tea tree oil is the main product which kills acne.. And it also has aloe vera extracts..aloe vera is the no 1 moisturizer on the earth.don't believe? Google it and see for urself... my rating 9/10 for this soap
